About Honest Pet Picks
Honest Pet Picks is a small affiliate research site that publishes structured dog and cat product comparisons for owners and marketers researching the category.
Who runs this
Operated by Chad Kerns / Pet Planet Inc. Category knowledge from the pet industry informs research speed — this site itself is an independent affiliate content property, not a storefront for Pet Planet products.
What we promise
- Honest structure — who a product type is for / not for, criteria, comparison tables
- No fake social proof — no invented reviews, star ratings, or testimonials
- Clear placeholders — unknown ASINs and live prices are marked TODO
- Editorial independence — commissions don’t fabricate claims; we disclose affiliate links
- No vet claims — we don’t diagnose, treat, or replace professional veterinary care
v1 scope
Primary niche: dog and cat product comparisons — GPS dog trackers, self-cleaning litter boxes, cat water fountains, cat trees, feeders, crates, beds, cameras, and more. Cat research is complementary to Pet Planet Inc’s dog DTC catalog (no overlap). More guides may follow if organic traffic and conversions justify the time.
